§ 102-116. Responsibilities.

  • The commission's responsibilities shall include but not be limited to the following:

    (1)

    Determine and recommend to the board of commissioners management and program priorities on a countywide basis.

    (2)

    Review current ordinances and propose to the board of commissioners any changes or additional ordinances felt to be necessary in order to achieve the goals of the commission, with particular emphasis placed on more stringent enforcement.

    (3)

    Monitor performance from data collected and examined under the Keep America Beautiful, Incorporated, Clean Community System guidelines and make an annual report to the board of commissioners.

    (4)

    Initiate, plan, direct and coordinate communitywide efforts to achieve its goals.

    (5)

    Solicit and accept donations and appropriations of money, services, products, property and facilities for expenditure and use by the commission for the accomplishment of its objectives.

    (6)

    Carry out other such tasks as the board of commissioners may designate.
