The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the
meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates
a different meaning:
Cumberland Special Services District No. II
or
district
means the special services district within the county the creation of which is authorized
by the Special Districts Clause of the Georgia Constitution and which is identified
as such on Exhibit "A" attached to a resolution of the board of commissioners adopted
on February 25, 2014, and in Exhibit "B" to the resolution on file with and available
for inspection at the offices of the Cobb County Community Development Department,
the Cobb County Clerk and the Cobb County Tax Assessor, both of which exhibits are
incorporated herein by reference thereto.
Services tax
or
tax
shall mean the ad valorem tax levied by this resolution on all property subject to
ad valorem taxation within the Cumberland Special Services District No. II to pay,
wholly or partially, the cost of providing, supplementing or enhancing local government
services within the district and to construct and maintain facilities therefor, which
tax initially will be a three mil tax.
