§ 118-51. Course of travel; obedience to signs and devices.

  • (a)

    The traffic engineer is authorized to place lane markings, signs or other traffic control devices, within or adjacent to intersections, or upon any other portions of streets or roadways, indicating the course to be traveled by vehicles. Such course to be traveled, as so indicated, may conform to or be other than as prescribed by this chapter or other law or ordinance.

    (b)

    The making of turns may be prohibited or otherwise restricted between certain hours of any day, and permitted without restriction at other hours, in which event the same shall be plainly indicated by signs.

    (c)

    When markings, signs or other traffic control devices are placed in accordance with this chapter or any other law or ordinance indicating the course to be traveled by vehicles, no driver of a vehicle shall disobey the directions of such indications.
