§ 22-16. Compliance with state and federal laws; severability.

  • (a)

    Each grantee shall, at all times, comply with the applicable provisions of state and federal laws and regulations, including, without limitation, those promulgated by the FCC.

    (b)

    The provisions of this chapter and each grantee's franchise agreement are subject to the relevant provisions of state and federal law and regulation, including, without limitation, the Cable Act.

    (c)

    If any section, subsection or other portion of this chapter or a franchise agreement granted pursuant to this chapter is held to be invalid by the decision of any court or federal or state authority of competent jurisdiction, such section, subsection, or other portion or provision shall be considered a separate, distinct and independent part of the franchise agreement, and such decision shall not affect the validity and enforceability of all other portions of this chapter or the franchise agreement.
