§ 90-26. Established; membership; terms of office; filling of vacancies.

  • Under the provisions of O.C.G.A. tit. 36, ch. 64 (O.C.G.A. § 36-64-1 et seq.), there is hereby established a recreation board. This board shall be appointed by the board of commissioners and shall consist of nine persons, serving without pay. The term of office shall be five years or until successors are appointed and qualified, except that the members of such board first appointed shall be appointed for such terms that the term of one member shall expire annually thereafter. Vacancies in such board occurring otherwise than by expiration of term shall be filled by another appointment for the unexpired term.
