§ 122-116. Elevation of wastewater connections, check prior to pouring foundation.

  • It shall be the obligation of the owner of the building being connected to the county wastewater system to determine the elevations, grades and alignment of sewer lines necessary to serve the building prior to the pouring of the building foundation or footings, and to design and construct the connecting sewer in accordance with the information thus obtained. Whenever possible, a building sewer shall be brought to the building at an elevation below the basement floor. In all buildings in which any building drain is too low to permit gravity flow to the county wastewater system, the wastewater carried by such building drain shall be lifted in accordance with subsection 122-126(b). Operation and maintenance of such a lifting system shall be the sole responsibility of the property owner.
